Frequently Asked Questions

What programming does T3 Volleyball offer?  T3 offers a development program for players in 4th-7th grade just getting started, camps and clinics for all ages/levels of players to continue to develop their skills outside of the club season, and club teams U18 to U12, with varying levels of commitment,  cost, and length of season. Check out our PROGRAMS tab to see what currently is being offered.

When do these programs run?  Development is offered in 4, 6, or 8 week blocks year round. Clinics are usually run between August and November. Club teams for the 2021 season will be formed during tryouts in September & again in November 2020. Practices will be set up in training pods and will be offered immediately for players that are not in season or those that want extra training.

Who are the coaches for T3?  Visit our coaches tab to read up on our current list of coaches and their incredible experience. Our Team/Coach lineup will be announced as teams are formed. Our high school coaches aren't allowed to coach more than two players from their high school, so we have to take a look at potential rosters to place some of our coaches.

How does the tryout work?  Tryouts in September will help us form teams and training pods. Our registration will be completed online under the Tryout tab. On tryout day your daughter will show up for her age group and be evaluated by our coaches. We'll do some physical testing to give us an athletic baseline. We'll also evaluate her skill level, ability to follow directions and interaction with the other players in a drill and play setting. Team offers and wait list offers will be made immediately at the conclusion of tryouts. If you've been offered a position, you have the ability to accept it on the spot by signing and returning the offer sheet to the coach. If you choose to attend other tryouts, you'll have approximately 72 hours before the club can offer your spot to someone on the wait list.

What happens when your daughter makes a team?  After tryouts, your daughter will need to order her practice gear online asap. There will be a lot of communication via email to look over regarding our Handbook and guidelines as a club. Depending on age group and school season, practices will be organized for those that are available. Competitions will be scheduled as they are offered.

What if my daughter plays multiple sports?  We understand the demands being put on multi-sport athletes and allow you as a family to prioritize your time. We only ask that a line of solid communication is formed to keep everyone aware.

When do we start practicing?   Team practice will begin as players become available. Normally regional teams will practice through the ERVA Regional tournament in April (unless the team as a whole chooses to finish at another tournament in May or June). National teams will practice through a year ending event in June or July. *Given that our region does not have any type of schedule as of yet, tournaments and year ending events will be an ongoing discussion.

When and where are practices held?  Our teams practice 2 to 3 times a week. Locations can vary depending on availability. Times are evenings during the week and TBA on the weekends balanced around competition schedules.

When and where are the tournaments we play in?  We like our teams to compete twice a month beginning in January through April. If there's competition available this fall we'll take advantage with the teams that are able to play. The local tournaments are usually played at high schools in the Valley or Spokane. The HUB is another venue used often. Our National teams will usually travel once a month with a year ending event in June. National teams in prior seasons have traveled to tournaments in the following cities/states: Eugene, OR, Kansas City, MO, Las Vegas, NV, Denver, CO, Seattle, WA, Long Beach, CA, Anaheim, CA, Minneapolis, MN, Dallas, TX, Reno, NV, Billings, MT.
**Proposed competition schedules will be created as events become available**

Do you have boys teams?  At this time we only have the development program for the boys. We do have room for a boys program but we just need a group of interested boys to start coming. If you have knowledge of a group of kids that we can start training, give us a call. There's a big push for boys/mens volleyball in the country and colleges are actually getting funding to offer more scholarships.

How much does it cost to play for T3?  Cost will vary given the age group and type of team you play on, ie. regional (no travel) or national (travel). The range in cost from past seasons has been approximately $750 for a U12 Regional team to $2300 for a U18 National team. This season will be a monthly pay as you go. We will line out costs for practice and competitions as far in advance as possible. Travel tournaments will be an added cost as opportunities present themselves. Payments can be made by cash, check, and CC.

What your fees cover:  The club fees usually cover: ERVA team, coach, and chaperone memberships and registration, including background checks, gym rental time for practices, insurance, coach’s fee, administrative costs, balls and equipment,  all tournament entry fees, both local and travel.

What your fees don't cover:  Any cost to a player for travel to tournaments (airplane, lodging, food while away, etc), a divided portion of you coach’s travel for distant tournaments including (per diem, airfare, gas money if traveling by car, transportation at the event and lodging), your player’s individual ERVA membership fees, and any add-on tournaments your team might want to do.

What is the end goal for T3?  To offer elite level volleyball training to anyone that is interested in improving their skills within the game. Ideally, with our coaches' experience we're set up to help players grow and continue to compete at the next level in College. Visit our Alumni tab to see the players that have come through T3 and are joining the college ranks (coming soon!)

Do you help with Recruiting?  Yes, we offer guidance in the recruiting process. We'll be offering a recruiting seminar early in the season with coaches from just about every level of college volleyball to help answer questions and get you going down the right path.

Are there scholarships available?  T3 is actively pursing sponsorships to set up a fund to help offset the costs of playing club volleyball. There are several Scholarship programs available in the area that individuals can apply for. Please contact T3Volleyball@gmail.com to request information.

How do we get started?  Go to the Programs tab and pre-register for a session that fits your needs. If you have questions as to what might be the best for you child please reach out and we'll help find a fit.

Information overload??  If there's still something that you're not finding the answer to, please text or call Brian Hosfeld @ 208-818-6802 or email at:  T3Volleyball@gmail.com

We're looking forward to a great season of club volleyball in 2021, come join us for some hard work, good competition, solid coaching, and of course some FUN!!!
